Sharon Wilks

Employee Whisperer

Sharon founded WellWorkers Programs in 2017 to address the epidemic of workplace stress.

Her passion is to empower individuals with skills and strategies for employees to become the best version of themselves. When people feel better, they do better, which has a flow on, positive effect on everyone around them: their colleagues, families, friends, and communities. Put simply, when people do the right things for the right reasons, the world becomes a better place.

Each member of the team has a critical role to play to reach organisational objectives. How each team member shows up at work, has an impact on the whole team. When one link in the chain is broken or lost, the whole entity suffers. When each employee takes responsibility for their own behaviours and impact on others, and continually strives towards respect and care for themselves and others, the organisation becomes more attuned, to move as one flock, heading in the same direction, towards meeting your charter.

WellWorkers Programs aim to lift peoples’ perceptions of what they’re capable of, and how they themselves can take responsibility for their own outcomes at work, and in life. Sharon’s goal is to ignite the desire to grow personally and professionally, for the greater good.

Approach

Discovery conversations help WellWorkers understand organisational challenges and adapt our approach accordingly. Post event feedback, including participant surveys and testimonials, demonstrate the success of the programs we deliver. Our focus is to impart the skills and strategies that may be implemented immediately; and structure ongoing support and accountability to foster lasting change.

Experience

Prior to founding WellWorkers Programs, Sharon Wilks had a successful career of over 15 years in tech sales and marketing. This experience gave Sharon a solid grounding in collaborating with a variety of stakeholders towards effective solutions to organisational challenges; and developed her confidence and ability to work with senior decision makers and people at all levels of the organisation. Sharon has a BA Communication from the University of Canberra; has a Diploma in Positive Psychology, is a Principal Master Mental Health First Aid Instructor; has taught yoga and meditation since 2006; and has participated in numerous workshops and programs to expand her understanding of personal development strategies that work.

Sharon thrives on guiding groups of leaders, and also has a passion to deliver organisation-wide programs that offer every member of the team the opportunity to feel better and contribute their best. Her natural, down to earth style puts people at ease and creates a psychologically safe environment, paving the way for active workshop participation that results in the development of practical, lasting new skills.
